Hello outside world!
As I sit here typing this blog I am trapped in my cement cube office with no windows, pity me for this, as I cannot see the beautiful sun shining outside on the beach. Oh well, I know the sun will still be shinning when I get off work. Besides, I have a date with the tennis court at Dorchester Park. Last week I went to Good Will and bought some tennis equipment. I can honestly say that was the most fun 9 dollars has ever awarded me, in addition to the workout and awesome tan.
So moving along, back to the task at hand; Setting up a blog site for the employees of the Lincoln City Visitor and Convention Bureau. “Amazing” you say, you just wait! As I set this up I have big goals. Let’s talk for a minute about what I hope, with your help, to accomplish.
· Start an open and honest forum pertaining to all things in Lincoln City.
· I will be setting up “Blog Spots” at events and letting event attendees speak up about their trip live from the event.
· Spreading information of little known ‘local’ fun things to do.
· Most importantly just have fun and hear what people have to say about our town.
So yeah, that is it, (drummmmmmm rollllllllllll)
THE FIRST EVER VCB BLOG!
I know somewhere there is a roar of applause other than in my head.

We lived in Lincoln City for about a year before I was called back to California because of a family emergency.
I so enjoy my L.C. information from the newsletter, and now have this to keep me "updated" with the little town I hope to return to next year.
Best fishing I have ever had was at Devil's Lake. And being a bird-lover, we always enjoyed going to "D" River and feeding the seagulls.
When we had the itch, my husband and I would grab $20.00 each and go on down to Chinook Winds, where we would play the penny machines for hours.
Keep up the great work! I am looking forward to reading your's, and other's thoughts on the place I want to call home again.
